Rooibos & Pear Tea

Add a twist to rooibos tea with the addition of fresh pear and a fragrant cinnamon stick. Garnish with extra pear slices to impress guests at an afternoon tea
Preparation – 5 mins
Cook time – 5 mins - 6 mins
Level – Easy
Makes one 500-600ml pot (serves 1-2)
- I ripe pear, sliced
- ½ a cinnamon stick
- 2 tsps of rooibos leaf tea
- Put the pear slices into a large saucepan and add 600ml water and the piece of cinnamon stick – keep a slice or 2 of pear back to use as decoration later if you like. Bring to a simmer, then cook the pear slices for 5-6 mins or until softening.
- Take the pan off the heat and add the rooibos tea
- Let the mixture steep for 2-3 mins, then strain into a warm teapot to serve, garnished with extra pear slices if you like.
